چکیده
Background: Renal injuries constitute around 1–5% of all trauma associated injuries. In present era, there has been a focus toward conservative management for blunt renal Advancement in radiographic injury grading, improved hemodynamic monitoring systems, valid grading systems allows successful non-operative preservation even cases Grades IV and V. Aims Objectives: The aim our study was to assess outcomes patients managed conservatively (non-operatively) high-grade at center. objective this is whether can be by successfully or not. Materials Methods: conducted retrospective manner using hospital records the past 2 years. Thirty with were included categorized based on American association surgery (2018 revised) grading. These strategies analyzed terms “failure management,” complications, need adjuvant procedures. Statistical data analysis done Microsoft Excel (2019) software. Results: mean age Out total 30 patients, 17 had Grade I–III injuries, 13 IV. All required no adjunctive 10 out underwent management. Complications urinary tract infection (5), persistent hematuria (3), hypertension (1), urinoma (2), ileus (1). complications Clavien Dindo classification grade 1–2. BACKGROUND Injuries to the craniovertebral junction (CVJ) are not uncommon, and are among the few skeletal injuries that carry a high mortality rate. Successful management of these injuries depends on familiarity with the normal anatomic relationships of this region, as well as prudent decision making regarding surgical versus conservative management alternatives. METHODS The purpose of this ...
متن کاملSuccessful Nonoperative Management of High-Grade Blunt Renal Injuries
Current management of high-grade blunt renal trauma favors a nonoperative approach when possible. We performed a retrospective study of high grade blunt renal injuries at our level I trauma center to determine the indications and success of nonoperative management (NOM). 47 patients with blunt grade IV or V injuries were identified between October 2004 and December 2013. Immediate operative pat...
